On Saturday the 5th December, the Parramatta Eels community team along with Sparky and Ryan Matterson attended ‘Hero Day’ held by Eels community partner, Heroes with Ability in celebration of International day of people with a disability.
‘Hero Day’ was held at Michael Clarke Centre in Carnes Hill where ambassador, Ryan Matterson caught up with some of his Hero’s and assisted in running clinics on the day, mingling with participants on the day and taking plenty of photos.
Hero’s with Ability and Parramatta Eels National Rugby League Club have a 3 year partnership that falls under the inclusion pillar of the clubs community strategy and sees HWA delivering programs in local schools for children with a disability, giving them the opportunity to be involved in Rugby League.
