Tiana Penitani re-signs
The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce outside back Tiana Penitani has extended her contract for two years and will remain at the Club until the end of the 2023 NRLW season.
An Australian and NSW representative player, Tiana was an integral member of the inaugural Eels Women’s team earlier this year.
“I’m so excited for the season ahead and grateful for the opportunity to play our sport at an elite level. It’s really important for us to pave the way for the next generation of young girls from western Sydney who want to be professional rugby league players,” said Tiana.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of football Mark O’Neill said Tiana had a big impact on the direction and culture of the team.
“Tiana is an asset to our Club both on and off the field, she leads by example and has an ability to bring people together through her experience and great communication skills.”
Tiana Penitani made her NRLW debut with the Dragons in 2019. Playing centre, she was the top try scorer at the 2019 Rugby League World Cup 9s before making her Test debut for Australia later that year.
