The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce the re-signing of prop forward Kennedy Cherrington for the upcoming NRLW season.
Kennedy will be joined in the Blue and Gold by her sister Rueben Cherrington who plays hooker and will make her NRLW debut with the Eels in 2022 .
Mark O’Neill, Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football said, “Kennedy brings incredible energy to our team, she has a strong, positive attitude and we’re really happy she’s staying with the Eels for another season.
Her sister Rueben will further strengthen our squad and I’m sure they’ll enjoy playing together.”
Despite their rugby union background, the Cherrington sisters have already had success in rugby league.
Kennedy was awarded 2020 NRLW Rookie of the Year and Rueben played a starring role in her team’s Tarsha Gale Grand Final win leading to her selection in the Under 19’s Women’s NSW team.
