Parramatta Eels Announce Key Player Signings

The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce the re-signing of Ken Thornett Medal winner Shaun Lane for three years until the end of the 2026 NRL season.

The second-rower has spent four seasons in the Blue and Gold, playing 99 games for the Club.

Shaun will reach a milestone of 150 NRL matches next year which includes 100 with the Eels.

He had an outstanding 2022 season to claim the Club’s highest honour this week.

The Eels are also pleased to announce the extensions of Jakob Arthur and Sean Russell.

Arthur, who is an Eels junior, will remain with the Club until the end of the 2024 season, while Russell, who is also a local product, has signed until the end of 2024.

The Eels also welcome the addition of Jack Murchie.

The back-rower has played 40 NRL games for the Canberra Raiders (3) and New Zealand Warriors (37) after debuting in 2018.

He has agreed on a two-year deal until the end of the 2024 season.

General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said “These players believe in the direction the club is heading under the leadership of Brad Arthur and they epitomise everything our Club aspires to be; connected and respected.”

“We look forward to the contribution these players will make in our premiership campaigns going forward,” O’Neill said.
