The Eels will kick off the 2023 NRL season on Thursday, March 2 at CommBank Stadium in a blockbuster clash with the Melbourne Storm.
The news was confirmed as part of the NRL’s 2023 draw release today, which confirmed Parramatta’s full schedule for next season.
The Eels’ draw features a number of big home matches in The Rising West, including a Round 4 clash with the Panthers on Thursday, 24 March. The Sharks, Cowboys, Roosters and Sea Eagles are among the other teams visiting PARRAdise.
ANZAC Round will see the club make its annual trip to Darwin to face the Broncos, while Magic Round pits the Eels against the Titans at Suncorp Stadium.
The traditional Easter Monday match comes away to Wests Tigers in Round 6, with an additional Monday fixture in Round 15 on the King’s Birthday Long Weekend against the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium.
The Eels will play their historic first match against new NRL club Dolphins on Saturday, June 24 at Sunshine Coast Stadium in Round 17.
With each club receiving three byes in 2023, the Eels will sit out Rounds 14, 18 and 27.
As a bye is scheduled for Round 27, the Eels’ final match of the regular season comes in Round 26, away to the Panthers in a Battle of the West.
