Board Update: January 2023

The Parramatta Eels announced today that Michael McRitchie and David Jordan have stepped down from the Parramatta Eels Board.

Michael McRitchie joined the Parramatta Eels Board of Directors in February 2017. Michael is leaving the Board to focus on his own professional commitments and his young family.

David Jordan who was appointed to the Eels Board in 2019 has recently taken up a new CEO role. The added responsibility, combined with a young family and extensive travel requirements, has resulted in David electing to stand down.

Parramatta Eels Chairman, Sean McElduff thanked both Michael and David for their significant contribution to the Eels.

“During their Board tenure, Michael and David brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to our organisation. We greatly appreciate their leadership, insight, and expertise. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank them for their dedication to the Eels and we wish them all the best in the future.

Michael McRitchie said, “It has been an honour to serve on the Parramatta Eels Board and I’m proud to have played a role in helping to rebuild confidence in the Club over the last six years. I’d like to personally thank the Board, all the staff, players, coaches and our loyal Members for what has been a great relationship and I look forward to watching the Club’s continued success.”

David Jordan said, "I'd like to thank the Eels for providing me the opportunity to be part of a very exciting time in the Club's history. I've loved being a part of the Club’s success. Being involved in a Club with such a rich history has been an honour and I’d like to thank my fellow Directors and wish everyone involved with the Club enormous success.”

Two new Directors have been elected through the nomination committee, and the Club is pleased to announce that Matthew Beach and Brett Charlton will be joining the Eel’s Board in 2023.

We look forward to introducing both Matthew and Brett to our Members and fans when they join the Board in 2023.
