The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce they have signed NSW Sky Blues halfback Rachael Pearson on a three-year deal.
A highly talented sportswoman, the incumbent NSW Origin halfback has previously represented the ACT in cricket, was a member of the Young Matildas soccer squad and made her debut in NRLW with the Dragons just two years ago.
Rachael said she is grateful to be given the opportunity to continue her rugby league journey on a multi-year deal.
“This is a new and exciting chapter for me, I’m really keen to be part of the Parramatta Eels for the next three years. I’ve always admired their coaching staff and I can’t wait to continue my rugby league career with this Club.
“I really want to take this opportunity to help mentor younger players in our team, I know the Eels have a healthy pathways system which will produce a lot of young talent over the next few years.” Pearson said.
Parramatta Eels NRLW Program Manager Andy Patmore said, “Rachael is a great addition to our squad and has proven her x-factor since joining the game just a couple of years ago.
“With her experience playing at an elite level in other codes, and representing NSW in Origin last year, she brings a maturity to our team that will help guide some of our younger players through their own rugby league journey.”
Outside of her rugby league career, Rachael is completing her four-year apprenticeship as an underground coal mine fitter and turner.
