New NRLW recruits pull on the Blue & Gold

The Parramatta Eels have announced seven new players to join the Club’s NRLW squad for 2023.

Jade Fonua, Amelia Mafi, Shannon Muru, Pihuka Berryman-Duff, Tyla Amiatu, Capri Paekau and Rosemarie Beckett will all join the blue and gold ranks for pre-season in May.

Rosemarie has come through the Parramatta Eels’ Tarsha Gale side and represented City U19’s and NSW U19’s and plays for the Wentworthville Magpies in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership.

Shannon Muru

Shannon Muru joins the Eels from the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs Women’s Premiership teams and has also represented Mate Ma’a Tonga.

Capri Paekau
Capri Paekau

Hailing from New Zealand, Capri Paekau has represented the Māori Ferns as the youngest player to pull on the jersey, and featured for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in this year's Harvey Norman Women's Premiership.

Jade Founa, Amelia Mafi and Tyla Amiatu have also joined our NRLW squad after strong seasons for the Magpies in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership. 

Head of Football Mark O’Neill said, “It’s great to be welcoming a number of new faces to the Club.

“All these young women have demonstrated their talent in the game and the Eels look forward to helping them develop further as they build their careers in NRLW”, he said.
