J’maine Hopgood has extended with the Parramatta Eels until the end of the 2025 NRL season.
The 23-year-old joined the Eels for the 2023 pre-season and has played all 10 games this year with impressive game stats that include 12 tackle breaks, 26 offloads and an average of 121 running metres each game.
The lock has also shown his leadership off the field as a passionate Indigenous player, bringing the team together at a cultural immersion workshop ahead of Indigenous Round.
Head of Football Mark O’Neill said, “J’maine has been a tremendous addition to the Eels’ squad and has brought much more than his football talent.
“J’maine is tough, has a great work ethic and a good offload in his game. Not only is he performing on the field for the team, but he has connected well with everyone at the club and has brought a strong cultural presence.
J’maine made his representative debut earlier this year playing for the Indigenous All Stars team.
