Eels recognise Youth Summit representatives

The Parramatta Eels are proud to announce the Club's representatives for the 2023 NRL Youth Summit as part of the School to Work program.

School to Work is an Education and Employment Program supporting Indigenous youths, established in 2012.

The NRL utilises the positive profile of Rugby League to support Year 11 and 12 Indigenous students with work experience, mentoring and leadership opportunities to ensure they successfully complete school and transition into further study, training or meaningful employment.

The program is funded and supported by the Australian Federal Government as well as NRL clubs, including Parramatta Eels.

As part of the program, a week-long Youth Summit is held, where four representatives from each club are chosen to engage in cultural activities and workshops and be able to form lifelong friendships with other young people. Workshops focus on topics such as leadership, culture, teamwork, positive perceptions, and more.

J'maine Hopgood and Haze Dunster presented the Eels' four Year 11 representatives for the NRL Youth Summit with their Club packs.

The Parramatta Eels' 2023 representatives are:

  • Melissa Stewart (Pendle Hill High School)
  • Kassem Masri (Pendle Hill High School)
  • Kittana Peronchik (Bonnyrigg High School)
  • Jayden Vincent (Fairvale High School)

The Eels wish to congratulate the Club's representatives and wish them well for the Youth Summit!
