Forty years on from the 1983 Grand Final win over Manly, the Parramatta Eels will mark this week with a celebration of the Club’s four Premierships.
The Eels won four titles in the 1980s, including back-to-back Grand Final wins over Manly in '82 and '83 to complete a Premiership “three-peat”, an achievement yet to be replicated by another side.
With the Eels hosting Manly at CommBank Stadium this Saturday, the Club will spend Round 16 celebrating Parramatta’s Premiership triumphs of 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1986.
Parramatta's social media channels and website will wind the clock back to the 1980s, commemorating great moments and players from throughout Eels history. Four Club legends will tell the story of the 80s Premiership era, headlining a schedule of exclusive Eels content.
The week will culminate with Saturday's home match against the Sea Eagles, where Eels greats will join in on the Premiership celebrations before the current NRL team take on the Club's old foes.
