In the opening play of a match, Masila flew off the back fence and stormed onto the ball from kick-off. Driving into the defence with pace and power, he left the opposition in his wake as he steamrolled through ten players in a 100-metre sprint to the try line.

The try was originally viewed 7 million times on the Parramatta Eels’ official TikTok page last year, reaching accounts in the USA, United Kingdom, France and more.

The video made waves around the world, with reposts by YouTube, Instagram and X accounts taking it beyond 135 million views as it continues to circulate.

"A wall couldn't stop this man if it tried", wrote X account Internet Hall of Fame.

A top reply reads, “Give this man an NFL contract”.

Instagram page Sky Rugby shared the clip, writing, "Can we all agree this is the greatest ever try scored by a prop!"

Masila picked up around 100 million views and 2 million likes on YouTube alone, in a repost by Highlight Reel.

The play won Try of the Year at Parramatta Junior League’s 2023 Awards Night.

Contrary to his explosive playing style, Masila himself was shy and softly-spoken when asked about the try and his online stardom.
