In the lead-up to NRL Women in League Round, the Parramatta Eels took the opportunity to uplift and inspire the next generation of young women through a powerful goal-setting workshop at Nagle College.
Over 100 Year 10 students from the all-girls school took part in the one-hour session, led by Rising Women of Western Sydney Scholarship winner Kirstene Ciappara. The workshop was designed to help students reflect on their values, set meaningful goals, and learn how to take practical steps toward achieving them.
With Eels NRLW stars Elsie Albert and Rachel Pearson on hand to share their personal stories, students heard firsthand about the resilience, discipline, and mindset required to pursue goals on and off the field. The players spoke openly about their journeys in sport, providing powerful role models for the students in the room.
The session featured group activities, frameworks for setting meaningful goals, and time for personal reflection. It’s already making a difference, with feedback showing that 81% of students felt more confident and capable of setting and reaching their personal goals post workshop.
As part of the Parramatta Eels Women in League Round celebrations, this initiative is just one example of how the Club is committed to creating genuine impact across Western Sydney. Delivering this program at Nagle College made the experience even more meaningful, providing a space to champion young women and empower them to design their future with purpose.
