Parramatta Eels extend Joash Papalii

The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce that Joash Papalii has extended his contract with the Club until the end of the 2027 NRL season.

The versatile back has impressed with his natural talent, athleticism, and growing maturity on and off the field. At just 21 years old, Papalii has played in multiple positions across the backline, underlining his value as an asset for the Club.

Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said the Club is thrilled to have Joash committed for the long term.

“Joash is an exciting talent and someone the whole Club genuinely loves having around. He brings energy, skill, and a team-first mentality that fits perfectly into what we’re building here at Parramatta. He’s continuing to develop his game under Jason Ryles and the coaching staff, and we’re really excited to see how far he can go in the years ahead.”

Joash made his NRL debut for the Blue and Gold in Round 12 scoring a try off the bench, and has since played five first-grade games for Parramatta.
