Parramatta Eels Extend Matt Doorey

The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce that forward Matt Doorey has extended his contract with the Club until the end of the 2027 NRL season.

A Parramatta junior, Doorey has impressed with his strong work ethic, defensive commitment, and professionalism both on and off the field.

Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “Matt has developed into an important member of our team. He has a point of difference in his mobility and leg speed which makes him very hard to handle when carrying the ball. The coaches have enormous belief in his ability and we’re all looking forward to his continued development.

“He’s also a proud local junior who understands what it means to represent Parramatta and our community. This signing shows his ongoing commitment to his teammates and the club.”

Doorey will join his teammates for pre-season training in November as preparations begin for the 2026 NRL campaign.
