2026 NSWRL Competition officially launched

The 2026 season of the NSW Rugby League was officially launched yesterday, with Parramatta Eels’ Ronald Volkman and Jessica Kennedy proudly representing the Blue and Gold.

Regarded as the strongest rugby league competition in the world across all grades, the NSWRL season promises to be one of the best yet in its 118-year history of the organisation, with a record 179 teams across its Major Competitions.

Fresh from a historic 2025 NSWRL campaign that secured the Flowers Memorial Pennant Club Championship through strong performances across every grade, the Parramatta Eels now shift their focus to building on that success and driving even better results across all squads.

The Eels Academy teams have already started strongly in the UNE SG Ball Cup, UNE Harold Matthews Cup, Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup and Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup competitions.

Meanwhile, the Eels’ Knock-On Effect NSW Cup team is set to kick-off their 2026 campaign in Melbourne later today, and the Jersey Flegg on Saturday.

From our Eels Academy teams right through to the elite NRL and NRLW squads, our players in the Parramatta Eels system have a clear pathway to further their career and contribute to the Club.

Every squad, every grade and every player will play a part in the club’s pursuit of excellence this season.

Parramatta fans are encouraged to get along to a game to cheer on the Blue & Gold. Competition draws and match details can be found here.

One Club. One Badge. The Badge Connects Us All.
