Eels facility wins Boomtown Award

The Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence and Kellyville Memorial Park Community Centre has been recognised as a winner in the Outstanding Sport and Recreation Project category at the 2025 Boomtown Awards, presented by the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue.

The Boomtown Awards celebrate the people, projects and initiatives driving positive outcomes and growth across Western Sydney.

Accepting the award, Jim Sarantinos, Chief Executive Officer of the Parramatta Eels, thanked the project partners and highlighted the impact of the facility.

“The Parramatta Eels gratefully acknowledge the financial support provided by Parramatta Leagues Club, The Hills Shire Council, the Australian Government, and the New South Wales Government. We also recognise the valuable contributions of our project partners Kane Constructions, Waypoint Group, Mostyn Copper Group, and HB Arch in helping bring this project to fruition,” Mr Sarantinos said.

“The Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence and the Kellyville Memorial Park Community Centre precinct bring together a world-class space for both elite sport and the local community. It supports the NRL and NRLW programs while also providing facilities everyone in the community can use and enjoy.

“The development helps strengthen sporting pathways, encourages more people to get involved locally and builds a real sense of regional pride. It’s also been designed with sustainability in mind, with open public access and long-term social and economic benefits for the area,” he added.

Since officially opening in May 2025, the Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence and Kellyville Memorial Park have quickly become a landmark destination for Western Sydney, embraced by both the club’s professional programs and the local community.

Parradise Café, managed by Parramatta Leagues Club, located in the entry foyer of the Centre of Excellence has become a popular spot for the community and football fans. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a coffee on the balcony overlooking training, visit the Eels Store, and explore The Vault historical display.

The Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence is located at 304 Stone Mason Drive, Kellyville.
