The Club today announces the release of a strictly limited 40-Year anniversary 1986 Varsity Jacket, commemorating four decades since the historic 1986 premiership victory.
Crafted as a premium collector’s piece, only 420 individually numbered jackets have been produced worldwide. 420 reflects the 4-2 scoreline of the 1986 final, remaining the only grand final in Australian rugby league history without a single try scored. Each jacket has been designed to reflect both the prestige of the occasion and the enduring legacy of the 1986 team.
The 1986 Varsity Jacket has been meticulously developed to honour the details of the era it represents. Features include:
- Authentic replica patch matching the 1986 playing jersey
- Classic varsity construction with elevated finishes
- A genuine leather authenticity patch. Individual numbering from 1 to 420, marking each owner’s place in this limited release
Every jacket is a certified piece of club history, created for supporters and collectors who value craftsmanship as much as legacy. Supporters will have the opportunity to secure the jacket through two additional avenues.
- A limited bundle will pair the jacket with a ticket to the Club’s 1986 Anniversary Round fixture against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Round 7 on April 19 including a sideline pre-match experience. The match will serve as the centrepiece of the 40-year celebration weekend, bringing together former players, officials and generations of supporters to honour the premiership milestone.
