Six Eels Academy players selected for Australian honours

The Parramatta Eels are proud to announce that six players from the Eels Academy have been selected in the 2026 Australian Schoolboys and Schoolgirls teams.

The squads were selected from players representing New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria at the 2026 Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League Championships, held in Coffs Harbour last week. They will take on Papua New Guinea's junior representative teams as part of the annual Prime Minister's XIII tour in October.

The Parramatta Eels congratulate the following players on this outstanding achievement:

Australian Schoolgirls – U18s

Isabella Bell (Lisa Fiaola) – NSWCHS

Australian Schoolboys – U18s

Steven Nunn (SG Ball) – NSWCCC
Hayden Bell (Harold Matthews) – NSWCHS
Cyrus Bloomfield (SG Ball) – NSWCIS
Liam Martin (Harold Matthews) – NSWCHS
Jireh Trey Stewart (SG Ball) – NSWCHS

Parramatta Eels Head of the Eels Academy and Pathways, James Shepherd said the Club was delighted with the selections and its representation across all age groups throughout the championships.

"We're proud to see six of our Academy players selected in the Australian Schoolboys and Schoolgirls teams. It's a well-deserved reward for their hard work, commitment and performances throughout the championships," said Head of the Eels Academy and Pathways, James Shepherd.

"To also have 30 Eels Academy players representing their schools across the NSWCCC, NSWCHS and NSWCIS teams during the championships highlights the depth of talent within our pathways program. It's a credit to the players, their families, schools, coaches and everyone involved in their development," he added.
