Parramatta Eels District Representative Trial Results

The Parramatta Eels District Representative sides held their first pre-season trial of 2018 last week (Friday 19 January and Saturday 20 January), with the Eels SG Ball, Tarsha Gale, Under 15s and Harold Matthews sides in action against the Penrith Panthers.

Held at St Patricks College, Blacktown, these trials form a major part of the Blue & Gold District Representative side selection criteria, before their respective competitions getting underway on the 10th February 2018.

-       SG Ball lost 5 tries to 3.
-       Tarsha Gale lost 8 tries to 5.
-       Under 15s won 11 tries to 6.
-       Harold Matthews won 14 ties to 5.

With these trials now held, including the Eels SG Ball side having 10 players unavailable due to Under 20s training commitments for the clash against the Panthers, final cuts to the squads have now been made.

These full strength 2018 sides will be in action again this weekend for their final trial.

-       Tarsha Gale: 9am kick off
-       15s Development squad: 10am kick off
-       Harold Matthews: 11:15am kick off
-       SG Ball 1:45pm kick off 
-       Jersey Flegg v Canberra & Cronulla Sharks: 3:10pm kick off 

****  Please note that the 17s Development squad trial this weekend has been CANCELLED.  ****

In the 2017 season, the Parramatta Eels SG Ball side were crowned the 2017 SG Ball Champions as well as the Under 18 National Champions, the Harold Matthews side progressed through to the preliminary Final whilst the inaugural Parramatta Eels Tarsha Gale Nines side progress through to the Semi Final.
