An update on the Parramatta Eels squad following the final pre-season trial against the Penrith Panthers.
Manu Ma’u returned to the field in the club’s trial against the Panthers, following a cheekbone injury suffered midway through the 2018 season, however suffered an injury to his MCL.
Ma’u is aiming to return in round six against the Wests Tigers at Bankwest Stadium on Monday 22 April.
Young forward Stefano Utoikamanu suffered an ankle injury and is expected to return in round nine.
The Eels kick off their season on Sunday 17 March against the Penrith Panthers at Panthers Stadium in round one of the 2019 NRL Telstra Premiership.
