As we head into our big game today, I wanted to send a quick note of thanks for your unwavering support during this unprecedented situation.
It is times like this that we appreciate that sport can be the most important of the least important things. As a Club and as a community, we understand that everyone is going through his or her own personal challenges and during this time we need to support our families, friends and colleagues.
I want to say a special thankyou to our staff, our Members and our Corporate partners for showing such patience, support and understanding in a time of great adversity. It makes me incredibly proud to see the resilience of our staff and their love for the Club in a time of uncertainty for them.
One of our core values as a club is being “All in”. I want this to be a mantra that unites everyone in our Club including our Members and supporters over the coming weeks and months.
Being “All in” means we win together, celebrate together, struggle together and most importantly, get through this challenge together, regardless of what lies ahead.
We support the NRL’s difficult decision to go ahead with the season without members and fans in the stadium. It will not be the same without you, but we know that you will be cheering the team on, wherever you may be following the Eels.
As we take on the Titans on the Gold Coast tonight, we hope you will be watching and would love for you to share your view of the game via our form below or through our social media channels Instagram, Facebook, Twitter . Make sure you tag @theparraeels and use the hashtag #PARRAdise so we can feature your photos on our channels.
The next few months will throw up many challenges. The situation is changing rapidly, and difficult decisions will need to be made. Through it all, we will be working hard to ensure the long-term health and well-being of our Club and of our people. Our Club has been contributing to our community since 1947 and rest assured, that will continue.
We will stay in contact with you as the season continues and can’t wait until we get to see the team run out in front of the Blue & Gold Army again.
Go the Eels,
