The Parramatta Eels resumed their 2020 season in style with a 34-6 victory over the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium last night.

There were stand out performances by plenty of the Blue & Gold last night including a monster 267m, 2 line breaks, 1 try assist and five tackle breaks from the captain Clint Gutherson, Michael Jennings with (136m from 15 runs and a try) and Waqa Blake with 121m from 13 runs and a try in his milestone game.

Young half Dylan Brown had a busy night with 150m from 17 runs, 4 tackle breaks, 19 tackles at 100% efficiency and 81 kicking metres as he partnered with halfback who finished with 101m from 12 runs, 2 tackle breaks, 12 tackles, 326 kick metres, 2 forced drop outs and 5 conversions.

Up front, Reagan Campbell-Gillard (204m from 18 runs and 16 tackles) and Junior Paulo (170m from 17 runs and 19 tackles) laid a strong platform before Shaun Lane (206m from 21 runs, 21 tackles and a try), Ryan Matterson (150m from 16 runs and 31 tackles) and Marata Niukore (176m from 14 runs, 27 tackles, three tackle breaks and a try) also impressed.

Off the bench, Kane Evans brought plenty of impact with 185m from 16 runs and 17 tackles during his 40 minutes on the field.
