Man of the Match vote - Eels v Cowboys, Round Eight

The Parramatta Eels came away with a 42-4 victory over the North Queensland Cowboys at Bankwest Stadium on Friday 3 July in Round Eight of the NRL Telstra Premiership.

Following the clash, Blue & Gold Members and fans voted Clint Gutherson as the Man of the Match, claiming close to 75% of the 2,600+ votes. 

Eels winger Maika Sivo starred with four tries, four line breaks, six tackle breaks and 149m from the clash.

Eels skipper Clint Gutherson was inspirational at fullback, finishing his 100th NRL game milestone clash by topping the run metres with 247m from 20 runs, 1 line break, 3 line break assists, 3 try assists, 7 tackle breaks, 111 kick metres and 7 goals.

Young half Dylan Brown stood up in Mitch Moses’ absence with 121m from 11 runs, three try assists, 9 tackle breaks and 27 tackles whilst halfback Jai Field also didn’t look out of place in his Club debut, scoring a try, 118m from 11 runs, 1 line break, 9 tackle breaks and 17 tackles.

Junior Paulo (223m from 22 runs and 27 tackles), Reagan Campbell-Gillard (214m from 20 runs and 35 tackles), Shaun Lane (135m from 13 runs and 31 tackles) and Ryan Matterson (172m from 16 runs and 34 tackles) also impressed in the middle of the field.
