In Junior Paulo’s second season in the Blue & Gold after returning from a handful of seasons with the Canberra Raiders, the prop had another strong year with the Eels.
A hard-running forward, with the skills and light footwork of a half, Paulo proved a critical player in the Eels line up, finishing the year with 15 wins from his 22 games.

Paulo led the NRL competition with the most offloads (54), nine more than his closest rival.
He finished the year with 48 tackle breaks, the fifth most for the Eels. Whilst he didn’t score any tries in 2020, his ability to offload and his silky skills and footwork at the line set up 5 tries for his fellow teammates.
Paulo averaged 13 hit ups per game for an average of 155 running metres and he made 571 tackles throughout the year at a 90.5% tackle efficiency.
Strong form saw Paulo selected in the 2020 NSW Blues State of Origin squad, playing in the season opener and retained for Game Two.
