The Parramatta Eels have arrived in the Top End for their annual trip to Darwin and NRL game.

Before the Blue and Gold take on the North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday night, they’ll take part in a number of community initiatives, events and take the time to meet locals.

Players from both teams will take part in a signing session at Mindil Markets today between 5.30-6.30pm.

NRL NT will also hold a competition to give away free tickets for Saturday’s game.

Other community events over the coming days include an NRL NT Academy training session, painting the Litchfield Bears clubhouse, a coaching clinic with Litchfield Bears, a visit to Don Dale Detention Centre, a Primary Schools Gala Day at Palmerston Raiders, and a Wheelchair Come and Try event.

The NRL team is also joined by a number of former players including legends Brett Kenny, Mick Cronin, Steve Ella, Bob O’Reilly and Neville Glover, NRLW Coach Dean Widders and Tim Mannah and Keegan Hipgrave.

On Saturday, gates open at 4pm, with the Eels Cup U16s Men’s Grand Final kicking off at 4.15pm, and the Women’s at 5pm.

Kick off for the Eels V Cowboys is at 7.05pm.

Tickets will also be available at the gates.
