Eels throw support behind Jersey Day

The Parramatta Eels are once again pleased to throw their support behind Jersey Day, raising much-needed awareness for organ donation.

Each year Jersey Day encourages people in schools and workplaces to wear their favourite sporting jersey to begin the conversation with their family and friends about the importance of becoming an organ and tissue donor.

The day was inspired by the gift of life that Nathan Gremmo gave to six people when he became an organ donor after passing away at the age 13.

His family visited Eels HQ this week to encourage others to get involved on Friday 2 September, 2022.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED WITH JERSEY DAY

1. Pop on your favourite jersey, or a Jersey Day jersey on Friday September 2, 2022, to raise awareness for organ donation.

2. Take a photo or video in your jersey and post it to social media tagging @jerseydayau and use the hashtags #jerseydayau #donatelife

3. Explain what Jersey Day is in your caption, to help spread word about the importance of having a conversation about organ donation.

4. Have a conversation with your loved ones about becoming an organ and tissue donor. It’s important they know your wishes.
