Monique Donovan joins the Eels

Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce outside back Monique Donovan has signed with the Club for two years.

Monique will be linking with her former coach Dean Widders who she played under at the Rabbitohs in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership in 2021.

Parramatta Eels NRLW Head Coach Dean Widders said he is excited about the addition of the Indigenous All Stars representative player.

“Monique has been close to getting an opportunity at the NRLW level for a few years now, and her hard work has finally paid off. She’s athletic, fast and a great finisher. She’ll bring strong leadership and a great attitude to the team and having grown up in western Sydney she will feel right at home in the Blue & Gold,” said Dean.

A proud Biripi/Dunghutti woman, Monique will join fellow Indigenous and Parramatta Eels team-mate Nakia Davis-Welsh to launch Indigenous Round at an NRL event this morning.
