The Parramatta Eels are saddened to announce the passing of Peter Langmack, Eel #281, at the age of 73.
Peter, the older brother of former Australian representative Paul Langmack, passed away on the Gold Coast after a courageous seven-year battle with dementia.
A versatile player, Peter was a centre, five-eighth, and lock. He first joined the Parramatta Eels in 1970, playing 10 games in Reserve Grade and 15 games in Third Grade.
Peter made his First Grade debut with the Eels in 1971, going on to play a total of 36 games across two stints with the club starting in 1971-72. He then played 57 games with the Penrith Panthers achieving his five tries in one game record, before returning to Parramatta to finish his career in the Blue & Gold in 1977-78.
He also represented the Club in the pre-season Wills Cup and the mid-season AMCO Cup.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Peter’s family, friends, and all who knew him. He will always be remembered as Parramatta Eels player #281.
