Some of the biggest names in Blue and Gold history will be in the room, including Peter Sterling, Nathan Hindmarsh, Steve Ella, Peter Wynn, Nathan Cayless, and many more beloved Eels legends. Together, they will share stories, relive historic moments, and reflect on what it means to be part of one of rugby league’s proudest clubs.
Eels legend and Foundation Ambassador Peter Sterling expressed his excitement about the event, “This lunch is about more than just memories — it’s about momentum. We get to celebrate our history while directly contributing to what’s coming next. I’m proud to be part of something that brings the whole Eels family together for such an important cause.”
But the Legends Long Lunch isn’t just about honouring the past — it’s about powering the future. Guests will also gain rare access to insights from within the current football program, with Head Coach Jason Ryles, Assistant Coach Nathan Brown, and General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill offering a behind-the-scenes look at the Eels’ new era and direction.
The event will also be a major fundraiser for the Eels Foundation, with all proceeds supporting the Club’s Pathways & Academy Programs and Community Initiatives — ensuring the Eels continue to nurture the next generation of talent and give back to the Western Sydney community.
Attendees will have the chance to bid on exclusive auction prizes, including money-can’t-buy experiences and memorabilia that will appeal to collectors and fans alike.
The event will also host a high-profile guest list of Western Sydney business leaders, government stakeholders, and corporate partners, reinforcing the vital link between the Club and its broader community.
