Dean Hawkins Released

The Parramatta Eels can confirm that Dean Hawkins has been released from the final year of his contract to pursue an opportunity in the English Super League.

Hawkins joined the Eels ahead of the 2025 season, adding valuable depth to the club’s backline. A composed playmaker, Hawkins made an impact in his time at the club, particularly during a critical stretch of the season when halfback Mitchell Moses was sidelined.

Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill, praised Hawkins for his contribution to the Club.

“Dean really stepped up for us last season when Mitch was out. He steered the team around with confidence, and earned the respect of everyone in the squad,” O’Neill said. “He’s a true professional and he just loves the game which showed every time he pulled on the jersey.”

The Eels thank Dean for his contributions and wish him and his family all the best as he begins this next chapter of his career.
