Born in Canterbury, NSW, Joash Papalii is a versatile fullback capable of covering multiple positions in the backline. He made 36 appearances for Canterbury in the NSW Reserve Cup between 2023 and 2024 before joining the Parramatta Eels in 2025. Papalii made his NRL debut in Round 12 of the 2025 season against the Manly Sea Eagles.
