Parramatta players say any momentum built over their slick 2-0 start back in March has vanished, with the squad needing to treat its scheduled round-three resumption as the start of a new season.
The Eels are top of the ladder on for-and-against after two games, level on points with five other unbeaten sides, but that counts for little when the competition resumes according to centre Michael Jennings.
"For us it's a complete restart," Jennings said.
"You lose momentum after having six weeks out. We're looking to just restart … We're looking at this as round one for us and we're looking for a big start.
"After the first two rounds we started to get momentum and it was looking good but we have to start again."
His captain Clint Gutherson felt similarly, but was just excited to be back at training.
Eels' top five tries of 2019
"I think it's going to be like round one again," Gutherson said.
"Everything we built in those first two weeks is gone now but every team is in the same boat.
"You're going to have to build on it, it's going to be scrappy, it's not how you plan it to go. We're going to train the next couple of weeks or however long we've got before we play and we have to go out there and try and build that momentum."

Gutherson said other teams would be just as affected by the loss of home crowds in the near future with the Eels ready to adapt to not having their vocal home fans turning Bankwest Stadium into a fortress.
"I don't think we'll lose anything, they're great to have at Bankwest but everyone's going through the same thing. Everyone's home games are going to be the same. It's a great stadium to play at and we'll keep winning there," he added.
Gutherson was also hopeful off-contract hooker Reed Mahoney would miss little to no football despite suffering a Jones fracture in his foot in round two, which can mean three to five months out.
"Reedy's looking all right at the moment, he was on the alter-G (treadmill) this morning," Gutherson said.
"We don't want to rush him back, there's still a long way to go in the season. He's been working hard with the physio the last couple of days. Hopefully they can get him back on track. He's only young and has a lot of time ahead of him so we don't want to rush him back."
