Representative Wrap-Up: Sivo stars in Fiji triumph

Maika Sivo put on a show in Fiji's big win over Papua New Guinea on Sunday, headlining a weekend of Test action for Parramatta's international stars.

After receiving a heroes' welcome in Port Morseby, Sivo put on a man-of-the-match performance as Fiji defeated Papua New Guinea 43-16. The winger scored two tries, made 209 run metres and broke six tackles.

Sivo bulldozed through PNG's edge defence for his first try, before taking an intercept and running 90 metres for his second. He was awarded man-of-the-match honours by Fiji coach Waisake Kativerata post-game.

Dylan Brown made his seventh Test appearance for New Zealand in their loss to Australia in Melbourne on Saturday. The Kiwis were kept quiet by a dominant Kangaroos display, although Brown produced over 100 run metres.

Kennedy Cherrington featured in the Jillaroos' final match of 2023, a narrow loss to a spirited Kiwi Ferns side. The Eels Co-Captain was limited to 24 minutes, but was busy off the bench with 71 run metres and 11 tackles.

Sivo and Brown are set to run out for their nations once more this week, as Fiji and New Zealand take part in the Pacific Championships Finals.
