A product of Westfield Sports High School, Matt Doorey played his junior football with the Cabramatta Two Blues and Kellyville Bushrangers. He made his NRL first-grade debut in 2020 for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs against the Wests Tigers, going on to play two seasons and register 18 appearances. In 2023, he joined the Parramatta Eels.
