Born in Prairiewood, New South Wales, Toni Mataele began his rugby league journey playing for junior clubs Doonside Roos and Rouse Hill Rhinos. He attended Patrician Brothers College, Blacktown, where he honed his skills and developed into a formidable forward. Toni made his NRL debut in 2025 for the Parramatta Eels against the Newcastle Knights, marking the start of what promises to be an exciting professional career.
