Niukore charged by Match Review Commitee

Parramatta Eels forward Marata Niukore was charged with a Grade One crusher tackle by the Match Review Committee following the Eels Round 15 clash against the Melbourne Storm.

The incident was for a tackle involving Storm forward Tom Eisenhuth in the 30th minute of the clash.

Niukore was facing a two-week suspension, however he has entered an early guilty plea seeing him miss just the one week of action (the upcoming Eels Round 16 clash against the Rabbitohs).

Niukore will be available for selection in Round 17.

Melbourne prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona was also given a grade-one careless high tackle charge for his hit on Niukore in the 53rd minute.

He received a $700 fine for the charge.
