The Parramatta Eels are thrilled to announce that the Club’s 2024 NRLW Player of the Year, Elsie Albert has extended her contract for two years until the end of the 2026 season.
The Papua New Guinean international said she was thrilled to re-sign with the Parramatta Eels.
“Parramatta is my family away from home, and I am so pleased that the Club has provided me with the opportunity to continue my rugby league journey in the NRLW.
“I have really enjoyed my time at Parramatta as both a player and my role with the community, and I am excited to return in 2025 and build on what we produced this year under coach, Steve Georgallis,” added Albert.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill said that the Club was delighted the NRLW 25-cap player and Papua New Guinea captain had decided to recommit to the Blue & Gold.
“Elsie has made an immeasurable contribution to the Parramatta Eels, and her announcementas the Club’s NRLW Player of the Year this year was testament to her contribution both on and off field,” said O’Neill.
“Elsie gives 100 per cent in everything that she does. Her commitment to the game is inspiring and a credit to her family and the people of her homeland in Papua New Guinea,” he added.
Mark O’Neill was also pleased to confirm the re-signing of Rosie Beckett (2026), Bree Eales (2025), Madeline Jones (2025), and Mia Middleton (2025).
“The Parramatta Eels are delighted that Rosemarie, Bree, Madeline and Mia have decided to stay at the Eels. We are proud that our NRLW players are committed to the Club and to each other”.
